Hello

Got a problem with the tailgate glass on my 1999 XEDi

Glass doesnt drop when trying to open door.

When i press the switch to lower I just get a beep.

Is this just a re-sync problem of something else

Well managed to find the problem .......... cable snapped !!!

Managed to get a working motor etc from a breakers

Any ideas on how hard it is to fit ??

Very easy to fit.

You may have to remove the black surround to allow the door to open with the tailgate glass raised.

Then remove the plastic door trim (four screws at bottom). Undo two 10mm bolts, remove glass.

Then undo 4 bolts and remove motor and mechanism.

The refitting of glass is not too critical - you can test that it raises squarely and adjust if necessary. (The glass is 'clamped in')

Everything working now

Took about 20 mins

Result !!
