I have been through 3 of these. It seems to be a td5 problem. Longterm fix is fitting a different set up but will cost lots but possibly cheaper than 3 pumps!

I would like to adjust the main adjuster on top of the box, whilst the steering is central to just take the play out of the shaft whilst wobbling it at the UJ. problem is the adjuster on the box is hidden from view from above in the engine bay.

What bits do you need to remove to get to the adjusment lock nut on an 03 td5. I know where it is but access seems bloked by battery tray etc. Can it be reached from underneath as I need to take a weeny bit of play out of the steering box - its not bushes or joints as those all checked. Ta

sounds like the hydraulics have gone or the fork has worn out. A new clutch kit will come with new forks but you will have to check the oily bits first to make sure there is no leeks.
