Hi everyone, when steering to the left at low speeds (might be the same at speed just cannot hear it) there is low groan from the steering. Has anyone ever come across this & if so what is it? Snoops:confused:

cleaned leaking oil from around sump & nipped up loose fixings, fingers crossed might slow down the leaks, if not another job for the list

Bloody hell, how things change in my day a series lr with weapon mounts on & that was it & as for communications a section radio was the size of a small bergen & a battery the size of which could start a small car. Lets see if the goverment will procur any of these goodies.

Thanks Blue Beasty, the pitting is only about 5mm in diameter & not very deep & i have noticed that swivel ball kits seem to have shot up in price of late. Thats why i might have a go at changing the seal as the old one clearly has a piece missing.

hi everyone, ns swivel has been leaking for a few months now (one shot grease used) cleaned the ball today & found a tiny amount of pitting at the top of the ball. This is where the leak is along with part of the seal missing. I wonder has anybody else had the same & is the general opinion to...

Hi Discool, thanks again for your reply, i will try waving keys at the sensors later. I am still concerned that the indicators are still not flashing when the system is armed, i always thought this was an indication that the interior sensors have been armed. Snoops

Hi all , recently posted a thread regarding the alarm on my disco 300 tdi not causing the indicators to flash upon arming. Disconnected the battery as advised, if i arm the alarm then enter the vehicle via the passenger or rear door the alarm will sound. If i arm the alarm with the drivers...

I know most people will add anti waxing agents, the unfortunate ones forget & then pay the price. I know in certain parts diesel additive was in pretty short supply a few weeks ago

just a quick note red diesel as noted, sometimes does not contain the additives used in road diesel (i.e anti waxing agents for cold weather). During the recent cold snap on the site i work at we have changed filters due to waxing & i have witnessed an electronic fuel pump being changed on...

I take it that having a HGV class one license for the last 22 years allows me to tow a trailer with my 300 tdi Disco:confused:

Well worth doing the de-cat pipe, improves pick up but i found a slight increase in noise. I suppose you cannot have everything but the feeling of being pushed back in you seat out weighs the noise.
