Cd player to fit a 1996 Disco

Well, when I had my ES :( I put a Sony head unit with a removable front that had 1GB flash memory that you could put MP3 on from your PC. And it was a high quality unit - also it was possible (with a few mods) to hook up the rear sub too - brilliant!

    Disco 300TDi shredding belts

Two schhols of thought at the moment. First one is sell the C Max which I should get about 4K for and buy a TD5 ES for about the same - maybe 1K more. Secondly, I could sell the C Max and buy a 300TDi ES on a 1998 for about £2K and keep the change. 300 TDi tried and tested. I have even changed a...

    Disco 300TDi shredding belts

Check this out. Is it true that vehicles registered between mar 2001 and mar 2006 will be capped at band K £225/year? if so then this is a steal!

    Disco 300TDi shredding belts

    Disco 300TDi shredding belts

Thanks guys, I have missed the banter and the disco. I can't believe how cheap they are now. A 300TDI ES like the one I had can be as cheap as £1200 or for about £3500 I could get a TD5 ES on an X plate which is unaffected by the new tax rules. Very tempted indeed to get another. Do you reckon...

    Disco 300TDi shredding belts

Thanks Metallica, I really want a series 2 but not sure what to do. My heart wants one my head says whoa! my focus does 60mpg! The pulley on the PS pump seems to be sticking out about 1/4" which makes the serpentine belt run up against the edge of the pulley and shreds it after a short while...

    Disco 300TDi shredding belts

Hello everyone. Nice to be back. I know I don't have a disco anymore but my brother does. His 96 300TDi had a problem with the serpentine belt in shreds. I got a new one and fitted it for him and within minutes it was the same. On closer inspection it appears that the pulley on the PS pump is...

2 hoses on the intercooler and 4 bolts on top of the radiator plate. Take the plate off and the intercooler should just lift out.

    Its Gone!

I think the blurred vision on getting out of the car was due to me coming out of focus! Surprised you didnt see that one coming. Yes I know reliability is such a bore. My hands are getting cleaner and less oil ingrained by the day!

    Its Gone!

Well folks, its been nice talking an all that. I have joined the ford focus owners club forum. They seem very polite and helpful. You guys are helpful but not exactly polite but I have really enjoyed the banter. Funny thing about this car, every time I get out of it my vision goes really blurred...

    Heavy vibration.

The cars 4 year old and nothing in writing about a warranty. After the alternator went I just assumed the garage where I bought it were under obligatiion to fix and they didnt argue with me. I read somewhere that there is a basic 3 month warranty unless it is 'sold as seen' but not sure of the...

    Heavy vibration.

Got there no probs - alternator started working again once I was on the M56! Anyway they put a brand new one on. But left a turbo hose loose which blew off on the way home and reulted in clouds of black smoke and a max speed of 60. Luckily my land rovering experience put me in good stead and I...

    Heavy vibration.

Come back Disco - all is forgiven! would you believe it - battery light came on last night. After half an hr driving the power steering packed in too (apparently its electric) and this morning had to get AA out. They reckon its the alternator. Cost anything up to £300! luckily there is a...
