Drivetrain noise - how to find the culprit?

Mark the flanges the the rear diff and IRD so you get it back in the same place. Undo the 6 bolts at the front, 6 at the back, belly under the VC and undo the 4 support bearing bolts. Its quite heavy but nothing too bad. Best to breathe in as you undo the bolts and breathe out to lower it down...

Tiny has the Halfords "rally" main bulbs and they make a huge difference on full beam...like having some extra spots fitted. Normal driving gives off a nice crisp white light.

    Vibration at approx 1750 rpm?

I am not talking about folding the mouse mat in half and jamming it under the bonnet slam panel.;) The wings, grille, arch liners and wheel arches are all placcy (and not very well fitting on the early models) so taking up the rattly slack merely stops them resonating and no fear of rust unless...

    Vibration at approx 1750 rpm?

Right fella - I think I may have sorted the buzzing humming noise that comes in the low revs and goes as you rev through it. For this job you will need. 1 - An old mouse mat 2 - scissors 3 - tent peg Step 1 - peel off the cloth mouse mat cover and discard. Step 2 - With the scissors, cut the...
