Ok just done a test as I've feeling a bit of tightness when parking up in the supermarket car park. 2001 Td4 Auto. Mileage 122,000 and from what I can see its the original VCU date stamp 00. Today outside temp is around 6 deg. My Freelander hasn't been used for a couple of days. Offside...

I paid £400 fitted and balanced for my four Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres in August just gone for our 2001 Td4. Don't know if that was expensive or not, but it seemed ok to me at the time.

Our is an early ish 2001 ES Td4 Auto that has the Steptronic gearbox. I also have a back problem and find the Auto Freelander great to drive. You can plod on in normal auto, or 'Sports' mode if you want it to hang onto the gears a little long, or manual shift up and down the box.. When cold...

I've just bought the same type of under tray as in Hippo's photos above. My question is I need to buy some new mounting bolts as I don't have any that fit. I can see I need six of one size and two smaller ones. Does anyone know the correct size, thread pitch and length so I can go to a bolt...

When we bought our Freelander in July, the first thing I did was look for an owners club, so YES I'd join:)

Cleaning the intake manifold out certainly made a difference to our Td4:)

I like the idea of a beefed up one please:)

Mine is also in a terrible state, the plates are so rotten that every now and then I get a chunk of rot falling off on the drive. I'm trying to hang on until SES88 has made his modified fuel tank cradles.

Being a user of both forums I seem to do the same, but do think it would be good if the Freelander got its self a recognised club, be it through the evolving MUD Freelanders forum or what ever, also it would give these great vehicles the recognition they deserve.:)

Most car clubs have a membership fee, so then you would need a committee for such posts as the chairman, secretary, treasurer, membership secretary, events secretary and an editor for that all important news letter or magazine etc etc. I've been a committee member of a car club for the past 22...

Try Q Bond its great on plastics, I've used it's to repair a mounting lug on the bumper on our Td4, it also comes with two tubs of reinforcing powder, one for plastics and one metals.
