ring or contact sams 4x4 via there web site they will give you all the help and supply the parts aswell

there is no logic in changing the valve guides with head in situ, if you are going to the trouble of changing the guides do the job properly as other people have said when you take the head off you will see a lot more of what needs doing, including grinding the valves in , i would think twice...

where did he put the red x in the fuel or in the inlet manifold can you give some more info, like how much redx did he put in, sounds like a timing issue going by what you have said ie plugs leads on wrong plugs, valve could be stuck, normaly in that situation the engine is firing in the wrong...

it would help if you were to give some idea on how much you can afford to pay, the problem being the chassis if its in a field the chances are its got a rotten chassis and a lot of the rust doesnt show its ugly face untill its been stripped down,

all fuses on series landy are 35 amp

dont start feckin with the pump, leave that to some 1 who knows what he is doing, if it starts ok, runs ok, and doesnt belch out black or blue smoke there isnt a lot wrong with the timing or the engine, and if it starts with in a couple of seconds on the key is an indication that the engine is fine,

easy way to find this is follow the throttle linkage to the pump there is i think a 7/16 bolt with a lock nut on it slacken this and screw it in or out in to increase revs out to decrease tick over.

from what you describe i would say a wheel bearing is either on its way out or its coming loose

most landys kick a bit of smoke out on start up think back when u went to school, hot surface when cooling down creates condensation thats what happens inside your engine and the white smoke is the condensation turning back into steam and dispersing thru the exaust, comprendy, i will stand...
