Yes it's most likely the earth. The indicators and lights all have an earth in one of the screws that holds the bulb holder to the body. I would start by taking out all the screws in the bulb holders, cleaning the bulbs and connectors inside the holder and cleaning the earth strap that screws...

I use a giant syringe. Hook it up to the bleed nipple and make sure it's on nice and tight, top up the brake reservoir to full and then open the nipple and suck. Only problem is refilling the reservoir with fluid, but I've managed on cars, landys and motorbikes for years like this. Clarke CGG500...

It was the rear UJ on the rear prop on my 90 when it was doing exactly what you have said. Easy check is after a run feel how hot the UJ's are. They should not be hot at all. The knackered one on my 90 was too hot to touch and could be moved around but only after we released the handbrake.

Sounds like your prop has seized up. It is telescopic to allow for the movement of the diff. If you cant move it back over the bolts then you'll have to remove the rear end of the prop and slide the whole thing off, then find out why it's not sliding. Also grease the 2 nipples on it.

If the shoes have worn through the drum material then there will be a lip in the drum that the shoes are stuck against. Undo the square adjuster bolt on the backplate as far as it will go then keep whacking the drum outwards until it falls on your foot :D

Should it fit? I removed the suspect noisy one on my 90 last night, and having a spare from the front of the engine donor Disco 1 that looks identical but is about 2cm short. I cannot extend it so i think the prop has siezed on the splines, but would it work if I can get it to extend?

Get an old scrapper Disco with a 200Tdi engine. Keep the engine and all the parts to put into your 110 and get it running. Flog all the bits off the Disco. Now you have a running 110 worth a lot more money. Run the 200Tdi 110 or flog it and get 110 van. You'll be wasting money to converting...
