Ebay Discs and Pads for P38

i bought pads and discs on ebay (from Island 4x4 i think). i actually misread the advert and thought the pads and the discs were mintex. However, it was my mistake as the pads are mintex, the discs are britpart. I've had no problems with the pads or discs. i think it was £103 for front and...

    Heated Front Screen

if its just a light fog, mine seems to clear in about 2 minutes. this is using the 'prog' button on the heater controls which also diverts full air blast to the screen.

    brakes binding - again

its a 2001 P38 DHSE. the dust boots look ok. no holes or tears yet. The pistons have very slight rust marks but not enough to call pitting. Is it tricky to bleed all the air out of the system. i knw this can be a problem on some cars?

    brakes binding - again

Yet again my rear caliper is binding on one side - this time its the drivers side. i seem to be forever greasing slider pins and working pistons in and out. anyway, i think i broke something this time. i took the pads out and with a piece of wood in the caliper, i started the engine, opened lid...

    P38 Front door handles

cheers, i'll have a go at it next weekend. it sounds as though the easiest way to fix it is just to loosen the handle enough to snap off the lug with pliers. and further dismantling on the handle sounds more complicated

not starting - new battery advice

cheers Mik, i think i'm leaning towards the OEM one - no faffing around with rewiring. the Bosch, Varta ones all seem to have posts countersunk at the front of the battery that my leads won't reach. the key fobs seemed to work ok this morning to open the car. do you mean for the automatic seat...
