Tightened steering belt to eliminate squeak and it has done just that :) it has also made my steering a hell of a lot tighter:confused: Is this normal? Can the belt be too tight? It was really heavy and a bad squeak before....

I managed to get persuaded to go to ripon pay n play last weekend to my regrets......ended up costing me an alternator and plenty of skin from the back of my knuckles whilst changing it on a cold sat morning:mad: Could have been worse.....:)

When u say good earth then do u mean a good connection to the roof bar ie removing pain no need for additional earth wiring?

Fitting Cb antenna to my steel roof bar via a body mount from thunderpole, locating between my middle 2 spot lights, is this a suitable place and does the roof bar need earthing, if so can this be done via a spot light earth, or would this scenario of location and wiring cause too much...

Not as yet pal now no will be doing over next few week, I will keep u posted with my thought if u like......

My next question without opening another thread for the simplest of task, can an earth connection be exposed to weather? for example earthing roofbar to accommodate cb antenna, earthing via roof spot lights?

That makes sense but the heynes manual recommends axle stands and jacking to support weight? is this just over kill? does the weight of the vehicle stood not put pressure on the arb?
