Two problems solved in one !!!

Hi foz67. I take it you have the Thor V8 engine. After fitting the new MAF the adaptive settings for engine and gearbox should be reset to be most effective. Got it from Island 4x4. Genuine Bosch £120 including VAT and delivery. Don't be tempted to go aftermarket, lots of reports of them...

    Lower Ball Joints

Hi eightinavee. I appreciate what you are saying but, as I have the Ball joint removal tool I may as well replace them now rather than some point in the future. I expect there to be a lot of swearing and cursing during the operation but, at leased I go into it with my eyes open. Many years ago a...

Hi all. Discovered small splits in lower ball joint covers so I will be replacing all 4 ball joints. Got the tools for pressing the joints in and out, alignment will be down to measurements, wondered if anyone can advise on what joints to get ?. I usually use Island 4x4 for parts and they...

Lambda reading zero on petrol ok on gas

sandyt. Don't know if the MAF reading is used on Gas but, mine was running like a bag of sh**e (petrol only). MAF reading 15 on idle which is low. Fitted new Bosch MAF and it's now running perfect. New MAF reading 22 on idle. If Gas doesn't use MAF reading it could be your problem.

Two problems solved in one !!!

Good day to you all. At the end of March the P38 was laid up for the Spring / Summer season and the MG ZT put into service. Before the lay up I had two minor problems which although annoying, didn't prevent me from using it. 1. Sometimes the engine was reluctant to rev over 3000 rpm and...

    light steering

You do have to get used to the steering on these vehicles. They are not as direct as a steering rack and they are quite high geared. I have been driving my MG ZT over the Spring / Summer and the first time I drove my P38 ( this week ) I was all over the place, over correcting for the first...
