+1 on the BP yellow springs.
I've got them on my 110 hi-cap, and had them on the Disco before that.
Yes, the ride is slightly stiffer, but not so bad. they're great when you've got a heavy load on, or towing a trailer.
So, you'll remember I mentioned that the breather had been disconnected from the air filter?
Well I was round Phil's having a cup of tea and a chat, and I mentioned I was going to make a catch tank out of a coke bottle.
"Don't be daft" he said "I've got one in the garage"
So, a bit of fiddling...
Anyway. With that all done, it was time to make the 110 fit for my purposes.
First up was a canopy. I wanted an Ifor Williams one, as I think they look better than the fibreglass jobbies.
It took a couple of weeks but I found one in the deepest, darkest depths of Devon. So a road trip...
Now the 110 was legal it was time to get rid of the Disco.
I'd salvaged some stuff off of it, so all that was left was what I couldn't be arsed to remove.
I thought about sticking it on eBay, but was offered 200 quid collected from the scrappy.
The day she left :(
Right.
Had a bit of a read up on here about how to do the TRE's (I did a search FFS!)
Was bracing myself for it to be an absolute balls of a job.
To make it easier on myself I removed the track-rod bar, and soaked both ends in WD-40 overnight. The next day I took the whole thing down to...
Ok, so I've lost a lot of the photo's that I took while doing various jobs on the old girl when my phone got slightly run over..
After doing the doors, I had to fit some seat-belts.
I bought some brackets off eBay, and fettled (bodged) the Disco belts onto them. It's not pretty, but it...
Bought the lightbar for my Disco from them through ebay.
Delivery was quick and free.
Need a new lightbar for the 110, so I'll be going to see them if they have their stand at Newbury spare day on sunday.
Yeah, they're nice.
Same driving position.
Cruise comfortably on the motorway. Nice and quiet.
But plenty of pulling power for towing.
If I had the money, I'd buy one tomorrow.
