Just a thought is the cam sensor going dodgy when warm, that's if the ecu still needs it when running I know its used when first started to trigger the ecu for injector timing.

Where is your low pressure pump located, is it delivering fuel, is your filter blocked.

Has the fuel pump been timed correctly, same happened to an old pug I had a few years ago adjusted the pump and bingo.

It depends on any other symptoms you have when the lamp shows its face.

Battery voltage, glow plugs, glow plug relays. Maybe the starter motor is on its way out, is not spin the engine over quickly enough.

Have you checked the egr valve if this is playing up can give rough tick over also can throw up the engine light. better still blank it off clean out the inlet manifold. did mine runs a lot better for it.

All cars have issues it's just a matter if you can live with there issues. I have an 03 td4 hopefully getting all the issues that the last owner left me with sorted out, at the end of the day it's a Landrover.:-)

sounds like the turbo pipes same thing happened to me luck would have it had some duck tape wound it around a few times to get home over 200 miles before the duck tape started to let go. proved that it was the pipes
