i am also running with a liesure battery far stronger mine dont even turn over once and its started

buy a dealer injector harness not a cheap30 quid of ebay mind and clean both plugs top and bottom on the harness to ecu regular as stated

if the battery dont have around 13.5 volt in it then not strong enough to start a d2 imo

no need to run engine but it shuold have more than a couple of mill disconect the rod at the turbo side it should then be flopy if not its siezed

the d2 td5s are good capable motors mine has no diff lock but is perfect off road wheel bearings are costly electrical not to bad but best get a hawkeye or nano evo just to keep you right

lift of cam cover disconect main injectior harness then turn key look around the injectors for leaks from the rubber seals at top of injector the seals are not expensive and are hopfully what your problem is

have a look at the fusebox under steering wheel remove and check for water damage also have a look round the bcu for any water ingress

if they didnt change the airbleed valve ,i would advise you to change it becuase it will be full of soot . the fuel pump will also be covered in soot that can be cleaned up by removal from the tank

dont buy a cheap injector loom pay the £50 from your local lr dealer . if poor starting continues it might be a leak somewhere in the fuel system example fuel preasure regulator or airbleed valve on filter head or poorly fitted filter. the copper injector seals can also cuase poor starting but...

the injector seals coper washers corode then let exhuast gases into the diesel so when you labour it in 5 gear it might just be one seal that blows giving mild judders gearstick wobble is a good sign its miss firing so is soot in the tank or pump or bleedvalve +nonreturn valve

yep as you are changing filter have a look at the airbleed valve first pipe on the left of filter head . possible it needs injector seals done or the oil in eco loom
