I'd go with the suggestion of removing the aux belt and then try turning it over by hand and see what happens.

Snapped the throttle cable so I had to drive eight/nine miles with what was left poking the vent on the front so I could operate it by hand!!

Great piece of kit, I've only used it once as I no longer have a compressor. In perfect condition and working order. Makes bleeding the system incredibly easy, no airlocks etc. Can also be used to let you know if the system has a leak as it wont hold a vacuum, so quite versatile. I'm looking for...

Had the death wobble in mine, I layed a f**king egg the first time it happened, pulled over and checked my wheels were tight etc!! Turned out to be the swivel pre-load in the end.

Had a productive few hours yesterday, got to the bottom of a few problems and niggles but of course found more along the way!! Went straight in for the hazard switch as the first job, nice and easy. Fixed a loose connection on the 12v cigarette lighter circuit and on the amplifier for the stereo...

Now I've a spare few hours and some bits gathered up to replace I'm going try and get some work done on the Defender. Its developed a few annoying problems as a result of a few laning trips over the Christmas/new year break and then finally let go on me the other day when the aux belt tensioner...

You might find that there was a shoot day on hence why they were blocking the road, not really an excuse but a possible explanation. Even if there was a shoot on they could of just asked you to hang fire till the drive was finished instead of just flat out trying to deny you access.

You could but I know I'd rather spend 30 odd quid on a sensible solution to a problem...

Just add an adjustable brake bias valve as well then!!

It certainly is a left handed thread, odd pitch on the thread too which doesn't match anything I've got to put in its place.
