    How I justify my Defender...

    My missus doesn't like driving my Defender as its noisy, smelly and goes where it wants.....but its bloody handy for chain harrowing the horse fields, fetching bales of hay for said horses and for chucking the grubby dogs in. So she likes it really!

    Was there a year when P322 reliability became acceptable?

    I had an 03 plate 4.4v8 L322 with LPG a few years ago. Lovely car, sounded great and didn't have any real problems with it. Quite a few niggley things when I first had it but the dealer sorted them. I'd have another when/if the Defender novelty wears off

    Finally in after more battles with the spring and circlip. I'll either be doing the discovery conversion or just buying the drop arm and ball joint complete. Can't be arsed with that battle again but pleased I didn't have to admit defeat and take it to the garage. Now for the next jobs.....

    Ok wise people...... Any tips on how the fecking top cup of the ball joint can be put back in easily ...or at least the trick to it. I cannot get it to go in any further than 3-4mm. Seems to start going in then sticks on one side and wont go any further.I've tried using a g clamp with a socket...
