Good point - there is a grey damp proof cover under the plastic trim it tears very easily. When you replace it, leave enough slack in it for the pocket on the plastic trim which pushes against it.
pretty sure you will need the tailgate open.
From memory....there is 3 maybe 4 big screws to remove from bottom of plastic trim (big plastic door card with pocket). After that its held on with plastic poppers. You have to be a bit brutal, yank it towards you. The whole plastic bit is hung on...
You can buy whole dashboards ofov fleebay fer about 75 notes, it a bit of a tw*t ta swap one but it can be done. But then yer would want ta change all the other matchin plactic bits surely? Never ending!
Aye, I darent mention VCU just in case it is...sounds like the same problem you describe...best I just keep ignoring it :( un hope me warranty covers it when it falls ta bits
Firstly, in my experience when the alternator fails yer slowly grind to a halt because the battery uses what charge it has left after the alternator packed up...doubt it would die suddenly und then come back ter life again.
More likely that yer have a loose conection somewhere und the leccy...
I do get some drag when pulling away on the tyres but thats pretty common. Pressures are fine too. Had this noise fer a while, it sounds like something winding own, a whirring, wooing noise - proressively slower as the car slows to a stop.
