The Weber carb generally needs a slightly longer choke cable. You may be able to get the original to reach, but I never found it satisfactory.

In my experience a Td4 manual will get to 100mph but not cruise comfortably, and Auto will be struggling, but might just touch it. My auto cruises at 90 quite happily though.
