Hello all I have a 2001 disco td5 10p I believe. It has this weird air/ vacuum diff lock system that switches it on and off via a actuator looking thing (sorry I’m new to discos) how can I remove this method and use it manually any help or advise would be appreciated thanks
If you mean the method with the EGR actuator connected to the diff lock spigot on the transfer box which locks the central diff i'd ask why would you remove that if it works cos it's a good mod, all you can do is to replace it with a dedicated diff-lock linkage which is expensive... if it's about some axle differential air locker i have no ideeaHello all I have a 2001 disco td5 10p I believe. then fix the diff-lock switch or it's circuit as to make the warning to work cos even if you fit a mechanical linkage you can't be sure the diff is locked or unlocked unill the warning shows it's on or off, plenty of info about that https://www.landyzone.co.uk/search/7201407/?q=diff+lock+warning&c[users]=sierrafery&o=relevanceOn the transfer box it’s located but some ones fitted a aftermarket vacuum thing under the bonnet with pipes that connect to the diff lock in the transfer box and a switch inside the cab but I don’t no when it’s off or on
