    Have you got a good earth connection to the battery? And another good connection from the engine to the chassis? If this one is bad the electrikity will try and complete the circuit any other way it can, resulting in odd things happening.

    Everything that does not get hot, or move. But make sure you do the inside of the chassis box sections as well, that is even more important than the outside.

    Turners do quality head gasket sets def replace valve stem seals, I would also strip the valves and springs, rockers check for any damage and lap them in, inspect head for damage/ cracks etc and order parts once

    By the time they got to the TD5 they went back to a very chunky cast jobbie with replaceable inserts where the centre pivot and the slave cylinder pushrod go. I've had clutch problems but never the clutch fork.
