    Looks like you will need to drill it and use a screw extractor , as you haven’t torqued it up, this will help but surprised you’ve snapped it , did you buy genuine or cheapie version At least you chose an appropriate username 😉

    I’ve gone with steel for now since the other ones seem to be! But saying that the other ones don’t have spring washers on them haha, Putting the nut on has stopped the firebell noise and as a second bonus, made the engine wayyyyyy more quiet!

    In your second pic, it bolts onto the bracket under the door lock and when closed, engages into the fixture on the body. I believe they were fitted to support the door when a spare wheel was on the back. by the way its a series 3 1982 swb. A...
