I didnt take you for an idiot?
I actually asked for more info, you treated me like I had no idea first.
You attacked me for not using google.
I showed you JLR official documents (right or wrong). You couldnt even bother to be constructive about...
As you can imagine we, not having air con in the house, have become quite good at keeping the house cool.
We close windows and curtains when the sun is on them but open doors and windows that are in the shade, which means the north facing side...
Mornin
Another hot day forecast
Doors, windows an blinds all shut, still 25 in house
Not going steam fair, it would be madness at my age to stand in a field with thousands of people, fridges and generators running, tractors and vehicle engines...
Too ott fer me. Eye has had to take action. Curtains closed on the side the sun is shining. Earlier eye closed the windows when the temp outside were gerrin hotter than inside.
Indeed, the square labelled U must be the relay that controls the huge current that an underfloor eletric system uses. And yes, the B or 8 in the box must be the bimetallic bit that changes the switching according to the surrounding temp.
So...
Possible, but not certain:
The square labeled U: May represent the relay or contactor coil. Which energises a device.
Square with 8: This could indeed be a thermal relay.
I’m also just going to throw it out there that the D2 body may be better than the D1’s but it’s by no means except, I know from experience first hand. So you either get a Jap import body which would be immaculate but then what’s the point in...
All the info online, is vague, at best. Much is somewhat contradictory, too
Also, IGNORE the Google AI overview - it's wrong (I wish I could disable it permanently, instead of putting a profanity in every search). It's wrong most of the time, on...
On the P38, torque convertor lock up is not wheel speed related as far as I can determine but engine revs related. Lock up in third happens at about the same revs as lock up in top but at lower road speed of course and depends on throttle...
My Wife's car has been driven for at least two years with the plug linking the coils to the rest of the loom mended with garden wire. The pesky spring clip flew off into the middle distance never to be found. so yep, 2 or even three zip ties...

"the D2 dash(speedometer, tachometer, warnings) will not work for the 300tdi engine cos it works with PWM signals from the Td5 ECM, you'll have to transplant the instrument pack and wire it to the engine and fusebox but let the rest of the...
@RRMaximus you have alot of perseverance.
You keep on bleating that you want to lower your RPM but if not fuel economy then why?
If its for engine longevity you do realise that a lower RPM but higher throttle request cause higher cylinder...
Had this issue too, you’ll just have to pattern it the best you can and make a repair panel/patch to weld in. I’d get used to this cause if there ain’t an easy panel for it then it’s a diy job.
Spent all morning writing a "stinker" for the missus to send to the coroner's orifice.
Apparently she (coroner) is sufficiently interested to want the hospital to respond to our questions.
Nothing will change the result, but we want to know...
So, managed to photograph it, so here tis, help with what is in the two boxes would be very appreciated
Tia.
P means "power" in French which for us would also be positive, N = neutral, pretty obvious.
G'day all!
Up early to investigate the gas sylinder leak problem.
Found precisely one "rubber" type seal in my plumbing stores that'd prolly fit having looked inside my regulator thing for the barbie, so got tools and of to the camper van that...
Today I will be mostly resting. Been working hard for a few weeks, now exhausted. And it will be too hot for the next few days to do much. Cold beers at the ready in the fridge for this afternoon.
Not true. I has a baff regularly ----- at the start of every season. Me oinker takes the second baff, we is environmentally aware, don't waste water. (But he complains that he gets out muckier than when he went in).
