I've always said that the L322 is a dainty girl with proportions that are just right. And been laughed at when I have said it. This photo proves the point. Those other things look like they have the face of a proboscis monkey 🐵👃🤣
Oh and before...
Went to my local JLR today to collect the tow bar recall parts for the good lady's Discovery 4. Very pleased to see that A) they've finished the building work on the new showroom, but more importantly B) the parking spaces have actually been...
If the doors & tailgate are all closed, and the car is low, then the compressor is feeding the tank and any airbags that need to rise.
To fill the tank only a door or tailgate needs to be open.
Your compressor failure two weeks ago could either...
Understood, I think my original pump was around 8 minutes to fill the tank from empty with a door open for no interruption ? (correct me if I'm wrong) 🤔..
Hopefully you've suffered just a tired pump👌
RAVE is the official Land Rover workshop manual. It’s got all the specs, steps, torques, and tips. Service bulletins, instruction manuals, the lot.
Available as a PDF, or the more posh .exe file that you need an old Windows XP laptop to run...
Very true even though 405s and new one are bigger than 322s like you say I think they were the last true Range Rover shape where anyone even them not into cars could identify a Rangie from a corner or roof or headlamp, everything else especially...
Yes I have had a lot good comments on mine. These l322 seem to get noticed a lot more than the newer ones.
II think a lot is to do with looks, a Range Rover should be big, wide, high and look like a big tonka toy.
The new one with the rounded...
Success!!!
New compressor is finally in. Had to wait forever for parts from Amazon... can't seem to find at any car parts store.
I basically used a coupler for now between the hose from the EAS box that was part of the old compressor, to the...
Thanks for the pointer. I've been out and picked up another used turbo, not got hands on with, but it won't be long I had a quote via a mate in the motor trade for a recon unit, but it doesn't include the actuator because they are no longer...
Most likely burnt🤯
I draw the old oil out with a vacuum pump,
Refill, run the engine while steering left to right fully and continue like that until I'm happy with final color after draining and refilling repeatedly. 👍
After doing the chip replacement a while back on my spare HEVAC, got back on the HEVAC in the P38 again today. Replaced the 16-pin connector completely, and then tested all three motors using 9V battery & multimeter.
LH Blend pot goes from...
I have just had another look at the pics I posted. If I see it right it looks like the big belt could be changed without the little 1 being changed.
Why you would struggle more and only change 1 while you are in that far I dont know. but in a...
Thanks, it may be of help to them, but as they are an approved dealer they "ought" to know, but every little bit helps. It seems you have to take off the fan belt to change the main one.
The next delay will be the European recovery agent...
Heres a better pic of routing the belt for you, just in case.
Sounds like you might be in luck, hopefully the fault can be cleared or doesnt reapper. I only drove in "limp mode" for a short while and it was absolutly not what I would have done...
How the other 'arf live, having a RR as a shopping car
Our set of wheels is shared with others & called a bus .. but at least it's free, plus no parking charges.
The local garage can't do anything or at least 2 weeks! But, I contacted a LR specialist near Malmedy who ISTR using about 14 years ago when a previous car blew up its torque converter. They can look at the car tomorrow and do the belt, thy've...
No problems, thanks for the pointers. The existing one has got to be taken off so I'll give it a look over and see what I can do.
Assistance very much appreciated.
Best Regards
