I have a feeling that might not be an option, Germany has some funny rules about towing and the TUV might insist on it being 13 pin native especially if they need reverse lights on the socket. No idea whether TUV would test the live outputs or...

Have the battery tested. 12.4v is a little low and these machines rely heavily on a good battery. As said a possible faulty alternator also as this will take the battery down with it 👍

Were the glow plugs good quality ones ie Beru, NGK or the like or the cheap ones off the bay. The ones from the far east are very poor for starting as I can vouch from past experience
