Oh. My. God!
That wasn't a dare!
Get ready.
@LR-hobbs I'm so sorry we're hijacking this thread and derailing it! Mark and I will now have to personally find the answers to your questions to try and get this back on track.
I have a feeling that might not be an option, Germany has some funny rules about towing and the TUV might insist on it being 13 pin native especially if they need reverse lights on the socket. No idea whether TUV would test the live outputs or...
Whilst I'm very pleased for you, this level of bragging has brought up some feelings of jealousy.
Nah, I'm over it. Good for you my friend. Good for you!
So, if I want to do it right, and that's what I am doing at the moment, I use the proper bullet type connectors. Autospark had those in stock, hence I ordered a ton. Turns out I need a proper crimping tool, well, the rev meter will have to wait...
I just found out what one of the wires on the coil is / was for: that's where the added rev counter took his input from. Good news, as it is an electronic one already calibrated for 8 cylinders, all I have to do is to connect it to the coil and...

Hi all. 2010 l322 range rover tdv8 3.6 with 95000 miles. Last couple of days, a few miles in "ping" charging fault message + red battery symbol +red triangle. A few minutes later, warning lights disappear. Another few minutes "pings" again, same...
Were the glow plugs good quality ones ie Beru, NGK or the like or the cheap ones off the bay. The ones from the far east are very poor for starting as I can vouch from past experience
