Exactly what I always assumed as well - i.e. it's already stretched. But I have re-used them on many cars over the years, except my Blue P38 which now has Arp Studs.
. . . . . and one other point. If you do this, make sure you wait for the BECM & EAS to go to sleep before doing any wiring. If you interupt the EAS before it sleeps, you can end up with odd behaviour where the car drops to access every time...
One of mine had an extra ignition switched relay when I bought it. (some sort of tracking & DVD system). So I simply moved the feed from F44 to the timer relay to go via this extra relay.
Upside: No self leveling when the car is off - tank &...
Bought her a nice new R/H front indicator cluster. Checked, double checked, checked again and bought the correct one.
Only I didn't. I bought the L/H π€¦ββοΈπ€£ but it's ok. It can go in the shed until needed π
IMO If you want it that is.
No electrical mod will stop this. The self leveling doesnt use air from the tank, It will only level down the air springs and will only get to the bump stops if it has a leak in 1 or more corners.
There is a leak...
It should not drop to the bump stops every night, mine stay up for 2 weeks or more. Just change the EAS relay to stop self leveling. Whatever you do, it will drop if there is a leak.
Being new to a TD6 myself, I didn't know about the airbox trick. Will keep that in mind for the next time I'm threatening to set fire to the truck.
Thanks for the tip π

I think its partly because they know you have either cut it off or beat the crap out of it cos its rusted in place :D or its just a CYA on their part.
I replaced my front prop and found out to late that I should have used new bolts, I didnt and...
As long as the arms are bolted to metal and not aluminium carriers, I'd do them as tight as I can so the bush center piΓ¨ce doesn't move under a hard movement. If they are aluminum carriers I'd be searching until I get the correct torque π
Easy to check - just re-plug the RF receiver direct & see if the FOB communicates. Assuming Nanocom is working, clear the RF memory. Then press the fob & read the memory again.
I'll try my crystal ball. Somethings coming through, wait, wait, and there it is a Range Rover sport 2012 3.0 litre diesel.
Dare I ask when/what my next issue will be
