If you have Marty's filter, then you do not need the antenna disconnected . . . . . . but local RF interference will still cause reduced FOB range. At home I have to be with 10 feet of the car, but at work the FOB works 30-40 feet away. FYI...

A standard yellow one as in the under bonnet fuse box, 4 pins.

Personally, I would do what is needed to remove the remains of the bolt and use a new bolt.

I think he means use the stub of the bolt with a bit of Loctite to seal the hole. Not my choice.

Mark Piercy replied to the thread P38 switched fuses.Swapping to a standard relay eliminates the self leveling after the key is turned off and you don't have to pull it out every night👍 If your going to repair the real issue in the eas system later on, this is the least invasive temp fix😊

Having serviced it, I have just given my LHD P38 it's bi-annual clean ready for the MOT, bullshyte baffles brains don't you know. I keep the interior and the glass clean but a good coating of grime protects the paint IMO, no road salt here to... -

Id cut that bolt & leave 3 threads on it, load it with thread lock & nip it up. Run the engine up & see how it goes. :)

Don't know about the vd struts, but on the standard ones the strut only turned so far hence being handed. With the strut bolt a 2ft breaker bar and as much weight as you can put on it is close (so ft tight!)

replacing the front control arm, the straight one with the height sensor on, the ball joint is dead.. that wont come out either did manage to persevere with getting the CV/axle out tho! thats definitely a 2 person job. might be easier on the...
