Hi, I appreciate the kind offer of trying tp help. But Im not going to go down that route.
Im exhausting all avenue's for a European set of lights and if not the car is going back to England to be sold.
Many thanks,
Thanks, im going to try and avoid mods by finding a pair of lights suitable at a resonable price. I have a guy with access to lights second hand but there is many options and trying to work out which ones are correct.
Hi,
I have found these headlamps in Turkey question is will it fit my Right hand drive disco 2004 landmark. And will it have the correct beam pattern for the French contrôle technique?
Part number XBC501510 it says for left hand drive vehicles...
And given JLR dont make the phase 2 lights anymore they are hard to find.
I need to remove the phase 2 headlamp unit and replace them with a more readily availible model and that is cheaper.
Any ideas !?
Hi Datatek,
I just sent you back an email where I have drawn onto the image you Sent over. I also placed a protractor over the top of your image and the angle I have drawn.
Assuming I dont have the wider bottom slots that will regulate the...
I Noticed in the USA I can find the headlamp for 180 quid each. Shipping and import cost will no doubt bump it back up to what they cost here.
This sounds promising, thank you ! I have sent over my email in a PM.
Cheers.
@korthaldisco2 I do not know the Disco, but I have a method to convert RHD headlights to LHD at no cost. PM me with an email address and I will send you a how to. I'm pretty sure it will work for the Disco, same vintage more or less as the P38.
Wow!!
closest to that I have known is a house I lived in in Bath, where ground floor at the front was the first floor at the back and the garden was so steep, if it rained you slid down it.
So pretty cool at night then!
People on here are always on about what is the best paint, and of course over here in Frogland it isn't easy to get the same thing.
Message a guy called Datatek he may be able to help as he lives near Poitiers and is a mine of info about this...
On my headlamps the lenses appear clear without any pattern and both the main beam and dipped beam bulbs look to be standard halogen. So im assuming you cant flatten the light via a lever.
You did thanks ! From what I can see the zenon bulbs have a shaft which runs up the outside of the Bulb. And give off a much whiter appearance I just checked and both my bulbe are just standard halogen.
The reason i got the disco is even with snow tyres 6" of fresh snow and you cant get up the hill to our house.
Il probably stick with the At3s and just get chains.
Il have a read thanks ! The one thing that stands out to me is doing a half arsed job and trapping moisture between a coating and metal. Thats what im worried about. Think you are preserving it but actually speeding up the rot.
