Spent a hateful day welding the chassis on the Ninety, another hateful day to look forward to tomorrow.
Why is it when welding on a bit of scrap metal you get a lovely weld, get underneath with your head wedged between propshaft and exhaust and...

I am thinking about looking into this lot for the Ninety when the funds are in place.
The price is competitive for a Defender, sure they could qoute for a D2.
I have no experience of their work though.
Seasonal winter TRO, open from the end of April.
The surface is pretty compact so even in the winter I doubt it would get damaged, sensible compromise though.
Very sensible and considerate driving at all times. Note a couple of lanes situated on the 'gallops' it is actually sign posted "NOT" to follow the track but to spread out to avoid making ruts so not to risk injury to horses. Just thought I would...
As a sort of update I emailed the Glass Chairman who via the local rep, has passed the video and as much info as possible to the relevant authorities.
What comes of it, if anything, I do not know.
Just had an email from my insurer about my renewal - it's due early next month. I was quite pleased to see that it's £311, for a 2006 TD5 model for 12,000 miles a year. That's good for the current climate. The company has a silly name - 'Quote Me...
Ok, the transfer box seals hadn't been done so I would take that with a pinch of salt.
Have a look at the cambelt housing front cover and see if that's been off recently.
Cambelt only really becomes a problem if it snaps, most likely you will be...
Why don't you take the top cover off and check your work and the adjustments? If it was OK before and isn't now then it seems likely a mistake was made.
Did you release fuel pressure before removing injectors, if not it's likely that fuel has...
Removed the bed system
Fixed(pop rivit) a bar back onto the tail gate
Installed the new spare wheel brackets to get the tyre off the floor.
Off to shops for nuts/bolts/washers. Replace stocks
And when the mrs won’t hold your nuts ;) use a...
They said it’s most likely injectors. I can see how it could easily be as they are an unknown quantity. I’m just trying to rule out other obvious possibilities before getting on that particular train!
We have a car too yeah. Landy is going to be more for our adventures / camping trips, we want to make draws in the back and a dog bed above. Roof rack. Awning. Going to paint the doors to match the body. Get a spare wheel carrier put on. Just...
Dry and dusty again. Twas my son's girlfriends first trip, don't think she was that enthusiastic about such activities. Only did a few hours in the end.
Will get a video done sometime soonish.
I have grease in mine, from factory, and the swivels are chrome. (Td5 90)
My son's has early D1 swivels and they are chrome and has ep90. It has a fill hole and drain hole.
Not sure the finish on the swivel is relevant, could be wrong though.
Update….
3good days of lanes. We decided not to do strata as lots of bikes out on the Taffy Dakar.
They warned us 1 normal lane had a landrover off the edge & rolled down the bank & been there a few days. We was able to miss the section...
Ok, reading into it they didn't have a clue so changed the lot.
I saw a video on YouTube about a fellow with a D5 which needed a new loom, Land Rover had the vehicle for months waiting for a loom.
I think you will find many manufacturers don't...
