We just picked it up from garage, just a brake shoe set not the drum. Front and rear flange set. Had been leaking a while! Let's hope that's it for now 🤞
Thanks for all the help and you all diagnosed it from just a bad photo! 😊
Sounds about right for Land Rover.
Being an older out of factory warranty then I don't understand why an auto electrician couldn't have repaired the wire?
Did you get to see the actual faulty wire?
As mentioned above you need to put it on a rolling road before and after to see the difference.
Anything which claims a hp increase needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, be it air filters, exhausts, tune etc.
Doubt you need a new drum, maybe the equivalent flange and seal as per the front one.
It's advisable to replace the shoes but I don't bother to no ill effect. Probably cheap enough and since you are paying for them to be taken out might aswell...
Just had a look on mine
1 comes from top fuel filter connection and is the supply to the IP
2 pumps to fuel filter , the other union on lift pump is from tank
3 is the fuel spill line from injectors and back to tank via a banjo union
12v going to the stop solenoid on the injection pump, gravity feed some fuel and starter motor to battery is about it.
Take the 12v off the stop solenoid to stop it.

Thank you for the update. Looking at your photo the rivnuts actually attach to the mounting plate, rather than the chassis itself, is that correct?
I tried one bolt and that has snapped off, 100% the other bolt will also break.
I have it wedged...

You are right but they have enough evidence as it is in reality and you cant blame the council.

If you fit a new cable make sure you oil/lubricate the inner cable before you fit it.
Britpart ones are OK for a few years as long as you pull the release handle straight out, otherwise they weaken and the handle snaps off.
Do a temporary one for...
