Decided I'd do a bit of off roading yesterday so went off for some lanes..... the first holey bit I came to there was an almighty noise. It continued to drive for a little while before turning into a very bad vibration and shudder.
Pulled onto the side of the road and result - ****ed donut and prop! It was if I recall hanging on by 1 bolt!! Removed prop with the help of a mates spanners and had to drive it back (hour and a half home) in diff lock
On the way home on the A road, there is another loud crash and my handbrake drum goes flying off down the road with a shower of sparks as it beats the tarmac
It is if I recall the third donut the dam thing has had in a year! The first one was a land rover genuine one, the second a ****part and the latest one (the third) was a genuine!
I'll hook it out the bin and pop a pic up in the morning. It looked like a birds nest of string when I was taking it off
Now, the plan is to remove the flange on the rear diff and pop a front diff flange on with a 200tdi prop. That will sort the constant donut replacement problem out.
Will keep you all updated
