this has been bugging me for some time now, for some reason i dont have any hot air coming through the top vents, but i get a bit of warm through the footwells (a bit warm).
I went to land rover n they told me it could be the cable that moves the vents/flaps about behind the dash and that the one that controls hot air though top vents could be broke?
ive had my coolant flushed days ago to see if that would help, ive tried the bleed valve that goes from the engine bay to behind dash, the pipes are hot and soft and only a tiny bit of air came out.
I just cant suss it out.

well, i could try that, but they sed they dnt sell many of those cables, and from researching on this forum ive come accross a quite a few of these problems wiv no hot air, just doesnt add up. i just thought there could be something else i could try before tearing out the whole dash u kno.

I haven't had the pleasure of this but it could be either a duff thermostat if the hoses don't get toasty and temp gauge reads low
OR
the end of the cable could have popped off like fiat rubbish does.

thing is i wouldnt know where to start on taking dash only to find it probly aint that stupid cable lol

temp gauge always says normal conditions and pipes do get hot

often on lots of cars you can see the controls on heater box from foot wells, I haven't explored this model, but it may be possible to turn the controls and see from side what is happening.

I had a problem with the vent selection switch.It kept slipping out so I bent the cable so it had a spring into the switch connector .

That would have been easy to see within a few minutes of opening screws to inspect behind the fascia .

I read that as burn the controls.I thought you might be advising start a controlled fire at the temp controls and walk quickly away :flame2::bolt:
