Hi, got my gearbox back in but found Ive snapped th breather pipe of the switch can I glue it back on or is it a new switch, or can I run it without pipe?.

Off my head, I would say its OK, as long as the gearbox can still breath then I don't see a problem with that

my original XY switch had no pipes fitted.

I replaced it with a second hand one complete with pipe. As them geting water inside and corroding screws up the gearbox indication and operation I would either silicone it back together or replace it.... Secondhand of course.
