Kept mine on mainly because I started running on svo and didnt fancy all the crud making its way to fuel filter
 
Been having a search, and cannot find anywhere to get the new seals etc, as would prefer to have these before I attempt cleaning mine - anyone know where I can order a set from?
 
Mine is still on but bypassed.

Had a real headache with air in my fuel, stripped the whole fuel system down to find a hairline crack in the side of the sedimentor bowl.... so i bypassed it :p
 
lol, just been on that LRseries.com to get the seals - £1.62 for all 3 and then £6.95 for postage - they are having a laugh!!!!

Just over a tenner for less than a couple of quid parts - anyone else know if you can get these from anywhere else, as I dont mind paying for things, but thats a bit rich to say the least.......

why not find a stockist near to you and drive there and collect, that'll save you the £6.95 postage
 
I read somewhere that you could only buy in bulk from the stealer, hence never tried, will give them a ring and see what they say....thanks

Was just being lazy, and trying to get them delivered to my door......:rolleyes:
 
Just spoke to their parts department - they have the top and bottom seals in stock, and available for 1 to be bought, but none of the '0' rings for the bolt - and therefore would need to order min of 10 of these...

Would I be ok with just the top and bottom seals, as I dont really want to strip it down and then be stuck without any seals........
 
well those figures speak for themselves....lol

will get the upper and lower and go from there, thanks for your help.

You can select a custom postage option where by they weigh the items and reduce the postage costs :)
 
I'm confused - bought top & bottom seals along with o-ring.
O-ring obviously fits but could only find where 1 seal went in the sedimeter bowl (lid) so got one left over. Did check in haynes but the large plastic collar which sits inside the bowl looks different..

You might have a nin genuine one fitted, i know the britpart ones are a different design...
