my 300tdi 110 1996 has got one scorpion racing told me over de phone
dads 2.5na 110 diesel has got one that looks the same
1971 series looks like it has got one the same as well

so are they all salisburys . and what is a salisbury

its different to a rover axle fitted to the 90's :D

i think they are tougher than the rover axle, not sure what else is different.

it is stoatly different different casing and diff - yup its stronger git the diff dont come out the front of the casing - it has a removeable pan across the back of the diff and (i think) needs the axle casing to be split in half to remove the diff.
 
depends wot for. Compared with a Rover.

I believe they are stronger - so better fur orf roading.
a bugger to work on (preloads n shims n stuff) so worse.
not so easy to get so badderer.
more expensive so even worserer.

yu choose.
 
yer dint need to split the casing but you do need a spreader to be able to get the diff out
