maybe it wasnt on startup - maybe it just appeared to be so. Maybe it was on "ignition on". Maybe we dont know - only the OP knows exactly what happened.

Hmm Deja Vu.
Another point is why wasn't the radio making any noise untill it its speakers were wired to earth? Which most people would assume incorrect. It doesnt quite tally. Im going to go with earthing and watch from the side.
op2:the radio was working before i wired the last speaker to earth having a silly moment. it just when i started the truck i had no sound come out the speakers. if i took the speaker out the equation it all worked fine truck has well (SO I WAS THINKING IT MUST BE BECAUSE THE 4TH SPEAKER WASNT WIRED ON THE ONE END KNOCKING SOUND OUT STARTUP) so i connected it up to the radios earth stupidly and it blew the whole trucks electric when i turned the ignition has of last night nothing worked i will get out there later and look. got to watch last nights ufc first its a 1990 90 so its old . nah im **** with car electrics

Clearly for all the electrics to have stoped working something somewhere has lost connection - i guess it was on its way out to startwith
First of all check the earths. Put a meter set on continuity between the -ve of the battery and a non pained, non rust part of the body (difficult on a landy ) - i would suspect that the earth strap between the body and the engine is gone, and the one between the engine and the battery is intact - hence the electrics earthed back through the speakers some how?
