I finally got my landy back today after it being in the garage for 3 weeks. with the bad weather, the bank holidays and waiting for parts, this mot was a nightmare, and my was was pretty much the usual death trap. Lol. I didn't realise just how much of a death trap it was lol. My n/s rear mount had to be completely cut out and re built. And my track rod end ball joint was at danger point and the other mount and my sill was excessively corroded seriously affecting its strength and the shock had an excessive fluid leak and my exhaust was majorly leaking fumes and needed replacing fromt to back. lol. And a couple of other little bits too. Lol.

although £450 is a LOT of money, it works out less than £40 a month. you couldn't get much of a replacement vehicle for that kind of money.

glad you've got it back

That's what I was thinking. Someone told me I should scrap it and just buy another, so I told them what I thought of that idea lol

Thanks :) it's my birthday today so wanna do something nice. Another reason I'm glad I got it back when I did. Gonna treat it to a good wash and gonna put my new decals on :)

sisters disco failed on similar things. major exhaust leak, couldent find, n/s/r brake not working, locked up every time, both sides seat belt mountings/sills, which they failed it on last year and they repaired last year. took it somewhere else it passed with an advisery on a propshaft uj .sometimes it pays to try new places or was it because she took it first time and i took it the second

Hmm. Could be. Iv been going to this guy for 3 or 4 years now. He doesn't do the actual mot but he does pre mots and the work required etc. He is really good. Great prices too.

Blimey!! You've been separated for 3 whole weeks? I'd have been distraught (never mind stranded) without Norbert for that length of time. Glad you're reunited :)
