any tips on engine removal from scrap disco i have undone all of the studs & bolts but it doesunt want to let go so easily .the mount studs dont clear on lift will i have to cut them away from ftom the chassis?

Slacken off the mount to engine bolts

dont think a socket will go on bottom bolts .thanks for tip ill give it a try ! will the clutch housing release ok ?

I'd kinda assumed if your trying to lift the engine out without the gearbox you'd cracked the bellhousing off already.

Slacken the gearbox mounts as well. The more wiggle room the better.
