my speedo clock has suddenly started to go bonkers, one minute resting on zero then shooting up to 50 -30 70-zero-10 get the idea,all over the shop the milometer isn't working either, can anyone say if these symptoms are likely to be the clock or the gearbox please

similar happened to my 110 but it was just the cable on its way out

a mechanical speedo suddendly going from one extreme to the other like what you describe is often a warning that you should begin shopping for a new cable ...

Enjoy it. Imagine you're in a F1 car with massive acceleration and deceleration. Make odd faces at other road users to mimic g-forces.

I do all the time, I mimic my head going back and forth fast like mighty acceleration / deceleration which this 5 door 1998 300tdi is capable of, people probably think I am the heron...................
