Good afternoon all,
Really need help, I have brought a series 3 SWB diesel but the wiring is all over the place, I have sorted most of it out but now when I turn the heater motor on the wipers go at the same time. When I turn on the wiper switch the wipers go really slow. Can any one help please

sounds like the spade connector on the heater/wiper plug have been misplaced, they are next to each other in all of your dash-sounds like wiper is getting back feed of the resistor in heater motor effectively halving it's voltage making it run slow

Check the earths at the wiper motor and the heater 1st.

Second the earth or could be a short in the dash at the back of the switch.

Many thanks for your help still really struggling all earths look ok, joe when you say heater/wiper plug do you mean the switch? Many thanks

There's a good drawing of what colour wire goes where in the book - do you have a copy?

James add your location /area and maybe someone near can have a look with you.
Back of wiper motor switch
Terminal 4 should be two greens in one connector 12V from fuse.
Terminal 3 should be light green with black stripe.
Terminal 2 should be Light green with red stripe.
Terminal 1 not in use
