Just pulled my sterio out ( cd player visteon ) and want to replace with mp4 player, anyone know what the relevant wires correspond to ? i can suss the speakers , its the perm live, live and earth.

make yoself a test lead with a light bulb wired in it - by connecting one side to ground and the other to individual pins - yu can check the lives;)
 
I'm doing exactly the same. I've got some of the wiring sussed, but need help on the others. Here's what I have already.

btw - Did this for installing a parrot bluetooth car kit. SOC-85 (the same one for a Ford Fiesta 2002) adaptor is needed to connect the BT kit in.

thanks for tip, dont want to sound daft is the black defo ground on landrovers ? ive had ground diff colours before on diff cars..

BTW - if you are replacing the standard radio with an MP3 unit you will probably need an ISO wiring adaptor harness. Then you don't need to worry about which wire is what - autoleads do one (and I have a diagram for that too).

that would be handy the ISO wiring harness diagram, i went to buy one from halfrauds they are 25 quid ! so thought stuff that, will wire me self ( with a little help from you guys )
