Depends on exactly what you need, but I'd imagine that your only bet for thick cable is halfords (which will be expensive or they just wont have what you want) or chop up some old jump leads (as long as they are high enough current rating).
Failing that youre gonna have to wait till the week and order some from aes or vehicle wiring products or eBay etc and get it delivered for next weekend.

use welding cable. Halfords dont sell anything suitable.

Jump Leads, now there's a thought, I have four sets, this could work if I chop one of the better sets up, tyvm
no - they have too few wires and of too big a gauge. Use welding cable.
