Odd thing happened the other day, had the wipers on intermittent and they wouldnt return to down position then put them on full and when turned off again they stuck wherever I turned them off, then they just started working fine again will this be the relay?

Quite a common problem (Wipers stopping at the non parked position)
Will either be a faulty wiper stalk or relay, but more likely the potting resin has cracked and water is tracking across the terminals. The fix is well documented on here, but I replaced the motor on mine with a £10 2nd hand one from ebay.

A gamble, because it may have had the same problem but I was lucky.
