bloody wipers have packed in on me 110 , no warning signs just stopped workin. theres nothin when you pull the stalk and no washers either. fuses are fine. any ideas? desperate to get her right as im havin to drive the disco i bought for its heart transplant.

Possibly a problem with the stalk - bad connection. Try a quick blast of wd40

same happened with mine, it was the earth to the wiper motor

gonna have a proper look at it today, now its stopped raining! will check all that, was thinking earth prob somewhere.

If your still having probs, let us know what year/engine you have as well - will fetch out the wiring diags and have a look for you.

finally got around to having a look at her today and still no joy! but as an added arse ache the indicators wont work now either! i know the wiper motor works as i put fly leads on the contacts and it worked lovely, also cleaned up the switch contacts and the motor earth. so no joy and getting ****ed with it now bloody hate electrics!!! thinking relay? where is it? and could i swap it with the one from the disco? indicator one too!
are there any places a conection could of come off? or a linked system that might be at fault? gettin to end of tether now, and sick of drivin the disco so any help would be realy apprieciated. cheers. j

have you taken the cover off the motor itself because there is an earth to the motor there, the relays will be interchangeable

Isn't there a multi plug that plugs the stalk switches into the loom. This used to be a problem with Minis and I'm thinking British Leyland used the same system. It will be just under the column if there is one.
