I have just replaced the front wiper motor,Very easy the only thing is according to the Haynes manual you have to take all the windscreen panel securing studs out,After taking them all out and I didn't break any then removing the rubber strip inside the bonnet released the cowl I noticed the windscreen cowl was in two parts,I could have left the nearside studs in.
While I had the linkage all out I fitted some of those spring clips that Singvogel mentioned on a post that hold the small ball joints together as there was a bit of play in them.
