Needing wiper blades for my 2002 Disco 2.
Read a lot of posts , some say fit LR only but suppliers like Paddocks and Craddocks supply Disco 2 blades from £5 inc vat and del.
Anybody have experience of these cheap blades.?
Or do I get another mortgage to go to LR

comments please

Oh dear - paid nearly £20 for a pair of bosch ones from a local motor spares shop... :(

Just went and asked for a pair of wiper blades. To be fair, the chap always comes out and measures what's on the car and checks the fittings.

Well, have ordered 2 fronts and a rear from Paddocks.
Total £17.58 inc vat and del.
The extra vat really annoys me especially on the delivery charge.
When fitted and tested I will report to the throng

From experience, I've found that the little "claw" clips which hold the rubber wiper blade to the metal parts of the carrier must be checked to make sure that they are loose enough to allow the blade to flex properly. If the clips are too tight then the new wiper might not lay flat and correctly on the windscreen for the entire length of the sweep.

This applies equally to expensive blades and cheaper ones.

Fitted all 3 blades today. Fronts dead easy and work fine.
Had to remove spare to fit rear window blade.
All seem ok. Still annoyed about VAT especially on postage.

Removal of the spare wheel is the LR advised method, however applying "management rule 14B" (give your hardest job to your laziest employee and he'll find the easiest way to do it), MHM's method is the easiest way which I found for doing it too.
