The mirror glass is moving when it shouldn't be, I can hear the motor running but it wont move the glass in and out, just up and down.

Any ideas or is it a new one?

Have you tried moving the glass by hand when operating the switch?? It might just need a hand

The glass will move freely, it is as if it has come off the end of a thread.

The motor runs ok, it just seems as though it's not connected to the glass

Sorry I didn't explain very well in my first post.

on tha back of the mirror theres a little ball and cup arrangement.. thats probably come apart

Careful - those plastic racks on the back are kinda pants and sometimes snap if you put too much force on the mirror while putting it back on...

Ive popped the racks on mine countless times now, i really should remember to fold them in while laning
