Front washer not working but rear window washer is working. Can anyone confirm if it’s two separate units or just one that serves both front and back windows.

Two separate pumps... Look under the bonnet, facing the engine (that's the big bit in the middle) the washer bottle is on the right hand side, near the back, in front of the heater fan/matrix.
It's white with a blue cap .... bolted to the wing, the pumps are on the front pointing towards the turbo.
They have two wires going to them, switched live and earth.

You haven't said what car you have, there was a change in 1998 so there are two types....

Swap the cables on the pumps to prove each pump works.
Sometimes a tap with a handle of a screwdriver gets them working again
