My 1989 110 has just sprung a problem with the window wipers. They work on the first speed selection but on the next just stop. Could be the control lever or the wiper motor... Any ideas on how to fix it?

doubt its yer motor or you would have nothing. 1st thing to do is clean all the contact at the stalk and then all the contacts at the wiper motor. might just be a bit of grit in the block... it does happen! if it aint that, i recommend a new stalk. their pretty cheap, but should eliminate the prob.

could be the relay also.
i had a strange problem with my wipers - turned out to be a dodgy connection on the rear of the fuse box.
