Question.
Can you rewire the plug on the window switch pack to fool it into operating different windows?

My switch pack works OSF and OSR up and down, great!
It only operates NSF up and NSR down, bummer.
Can i snip the wires and swap the OSR switch wire for the NSF, so ive got 2 fully working front windows.
I know someone will say don't fook about replace the switch pack, but funds are tight this month and the hot weather is due to last at least a week.

It is only a switch - so yes I can only assume you can....all the BeCM needs is a switched signal - where it comes from is immaterial if you ask me!

I guess a switch is a switch but id try getting a replacment cos if you conect the wrong wire to somthing it dont wana be conected to and you blow the becm youll find that a £15-£20 switch pack was well worth the money

When I had a similar issue I removed the pack and then stripped the switches themselves. A bit of careful cleaning and it's all worked perfectly for about a year now.

Hmmm, i've now been scared off swapping the wires after people say i could blow the bcem.
The switches are soldered to the pcb, how did you strip them to clean?
I think i may give that a go before cutting wires.
Last resort Mr Credit card comes out to play :(

Open up the switch pack then take the switch covers off. If you CAREFULLY lever them sideways you can get the cover off it's pivot. Then you can get to the contacts and clean them. I do anything like this in a large plastic tray (it was sold for soaking oven shelves) so that any little parts and springs don't escape. If you haven't got a tray spread a bed sheet on the floor.

Glad I'm not the only one to do that sort of thing! lesson learnt a long time ago trying to find a tiny spring.
Yes the switch pack can be cleaned.

All sorted in 20 minutes, took switch pack apart and took the cover off the switch to expose the white rocker. Flipped the white rocker off and had a good look around underneath.
Found the black plastic finger under the rocker had become soft with use and wasn't transferring the pressure from the rocker to the contact on the PCB.
Played about with it for a few mins then decided to drill a 2.5mm hole in the white rocker on the inside of the original plastic stud and push fit a 8mm length of a pop rivet shank into the hole so that it pushes the finger closer to the contact.
Works a treat, now got 4 fully functioning windows for free!
