The Left Front and Rear Windows and sunroof on my 1999 P38 suddenly quit working a few days ago. The mirrors still work as do the Right side windows. When I tried the sunroof switch it helpfully opened the sunroof and then wouldn't close it, so I did that manually with the tool from the glove box. The window switches are just dead on the left side. The fuses and relays all look fine and there are no error messages on the dash.

Before I rush off and part with around £150 for a new switch pack, is there anything else I should check first??:eek:

Any help would be much appreciated. Can't afford to ditch the old car, she'll need to last a few years yet. :D

my advise would be fit window winders to them and seal the sunroof up.get used to eletruck****rerrire and drive on,Prehaps as its worth fook all go bash the crap outta it at a pay and play that way you get fun and instead of fixin stuff spend money on fuel:D:D:D:D

Even though only the left hand windows have packed up I would still replace the switch pack as it does sound like a problem there.

I closed the sun roof with the manual tool after the switches stopped working - I had checked each one, and the sunroof helpfully opened for a last blast :rolleyes:and then refused to shut - now there the blasted "sunroof is open" message beeps at me even though it seems to be properly shut and I've checked it several times just to make sure (and done the final quarter turn)! I assume it needs resetting with Faultmate or similar or is there another way I can silence it (without resorting to smashing it up as was advised by someone else here!!!)

:confused::eek:
